White-tailed deer roam freely at the Triple D Ranch in the famed Black Belt region in Sumter County, AL. Our land is intensively managed for deer. There are 10 large oat fields, with corn fields surrounding each oat field. Over 70 acres of corn was planted. Orchards have been planted at every field- honeysuckle, crabapple, pears, and muscadines. There are over 1,000 acres of hardwoods on the ranch.

10 deer were taken during the 2009/2010 season: (2) 10 points, (3) 9 points, (3) 8 points, and a few culls. Another 3 big deer were wounded, but couldn't be tracked down.
